About the Play
Eyes That See is a sweeping, cross‑continental drama that begins in a vibrant West African village and unexpectedly intersects with ancient Judea. The story follows Dromo, a blind girl who witnesses the impossible: a burst of radiant light — the star of a Jewish Messiah — and the passing of an angel she alone can see. It is a revelation she cannot fully understand, one that will shape her life for decades to come.
Across the world, a young Jewish boy named Adar experiences his own encounter with heavenly messengers. Two children, separated by culture and distance, are drawn into the same divine mystery long before they know how their paths will converge. Blending humor, cultural richness, and spiritual depth, Eyes That See invites audiences to rediscover the Nativity story through an unexpected lens — one of innocence, calling, and hope.

THE CAST
We began our casting search at the start of the year, determined to find actors who could authentically embody the world of Eyes That See — especially the African village scenes. In a city where African artists are often underserved and underrepresented in the arts, we wanted to create space for them to be seen, valued, and celebrated, allowing audiences to feel as though they were watching people in their natural cultural habitat. And we’re grateful to say: we succeeded.
